Aritaum 14 Vacation Blue
Collection: Modi Glam Nails
Happy 43rd Earth Day!
Teal blue jelly with gold foil. The foil particles remind me of the Zoya foils, especially Charla. When I first got this, I thought it was a dupe, but nope. Charla has a greener base with a lot more foil.
Vacation Blue has the same thin jelly consistency that is easy to control. My smile line can still be seen here, but I barely noticed as the gold foil is so eye-catching in real life.
One important note: please use a good stain prevention base coat. I used a cheapo base coat and my nails turned blue! After just one hour! I haven’t done a full manicure with it yet. My tips are to paint carefully so it doesn’t get on the skin (see my ring finger) and to remove it in one swipe (instead of rubbing it and getting the color everywhere).
Thanks for looking!

OPI GoldenEye
Collection: Skyfall (2012 Winter)
Yellow gold foil flakes. This was my Chinese (Lunar) New Year mani a few days ago as I did red last year. Red and gold are considered auspicious colors to the Chinese.
As seen above, GoldenEye is incredibly shiny. My pictures show that the edges of my nail are not covered completely but no one will ever see beyond the shine in real life.
I applied this polish in thin coats really slowly. It’s best not to make any mistakes because the foil is a pain to clean up. Removal is not so easy – I had to do a foil wrap the last time – so I used PVA glue here.
Happy Lunar New Year! And thanks for looking!

Innisfree 103 Autumn Leaves
Collection: Poem (2012 Summer)
Blessed Christmas!
Reddish brown/ orangey gold duochrome foil. The foil particles also have a strong pink flash that’s hard to capture. This is a gorgeous autumn shade but I think it’s a great shade for Christmas too. It’s much prettier in real life though.
I don’t know if all Innisfree polishes have a scent, but this one smells like orange chocolates to me. Some of you might not like the scent – I didn’t initially but my nose is a little sensitive. I found the formula easy to work with after I added some thinner. I do prefer polishes with a thinner consistency because I tend to do medium to thick coats.
I hope you enjoy your Christmas festivities! Feliz Navidad, próspero año y felicidad!
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

OPI DS Glow
Collection: Designer Series
Golden copper-bronze foil. I bought this one for my mum a few years ago for Mother’s Day (which also happens to be this coming Sunday). She loves warm colors like gold, orange and red but isn’t really into nail polish. Still, I thought this would be a pretty special color for her to have as she had nothing like it.
This foil is on the sheer side but sticking to thin coats made it easy to apply. Glow is a very appropriate name because it really glows in the sun! OPI chose a good name for once ;)

China Glaze Jitterbug
Collection: Vintage Vixen (2010 Fall)
Gunmetal-silver foil. The picture above displays how it looks like most accurately. But when the light hits it, it really glows and reflects because of the silver foil particles.
Honesty, I could have added another coat as there was a small bald spot or two. But it’s so reflective in real life I never saw those spots, which is just the way I like it.
