Collection: Prism (2010 Spring)

Grey base with pink iridescence and holographic glitter. This is quite the tricky thing to capture on camera. The photo above shows the greyish base clearly but it doesn’t look like that on my nails at all. The pink flash is very strong in real life and consistently appears in all lightings. I wish the pictures had turned out better because Gem is such a beautiful and unique polish.

Gem is on the sheer side and required three coats for full coverage. The formula was pretty easy to work with, very thin and easy to control. The glitter gives it a gritty feel so be sure to use a top coat for a smooth finish and extra shine.

And here's a blurred picture to show the holo glitter! Feel free to click on the pictures if they’re too small. Thanks for reading!

Dark olive green jelly with gold glitter. This is as beautiful as Persian Indigo! It was the first color I tested when I bought my Eliantos and it doesn’t disappoint! The gold glitter is a great complement to the olive green base, peaking through the smooth jelly to sparkle whenever the light hits it.

This has great coverage in two coats and dries to a smooth and glossy shine. Sometimes the glitter appears green on the nail, but it’s definitely gold during removal. Feel free to click on the pictures to enlarge them. Thanks for reading!

Pink jelly with silver micro-glitter. The color is true to the picture above. When I first bought this, I liked it quite a lot. I think that was when I was just starting to discover nail bloggers. But I now realize that it’s not unique at all, though it is very pretty to look at.

The jelly provides a good base for the glitter to suspend in, but it is too sheer to provide the depth that the darker colors (from the same collection) have. Despite the amount of glitter seen, it dries to a smooth and shiny finish.

Thanks for looking!

Dark purple jelly with silver glitter. Although I’m not a big glitter fan, I’ve also had a soft spot for purple jelly glitters. They remind me of jam, especially grape flavored ones. When I first heard the name of this polish, I thought it would be a blue leaning purple. Instead, it’s a beautiful deep reddish purple. The translucent base allows the glitter to shine through, causing some of them to flash purple.

The pigmentation is great and opacity was achieved in two easy coats. Although there is a lot of glitter (which you will realize during removal), it dries to a smooth finish and has the usual shine expected from a jelly. If the night sky were dark purple instead of blue, this is how I imagine it would look like.

Please feel free to click on the pictures to see the pretty glitter! Thanks for reading!

Collection: Ballet Dancer (2005 Fall)

Greyish-blue with teal-purple duochrome shimmer. This polish is a stunning little chameleon under different lights. The base is not very noticeable in real life as it is packed with fine shimmer that steals the show. The picture above is the closest I can get to capturing the base color.

The teal shimmer usually appears in the shade and under artificial lights. It’s very pretty but I wondered where the duochrome was when I painted my nails at night!
