Polish Days: Back to Nature

Where I live – near the equator – the weather can be simply labeled as either rainy or sunny. We don’t have four distinct seasons, but there are two monsoon seasons: December to March, and June to September.

My nails were inspired by the cloudy skies of the monsoon season. The blue and white show off a bright but cloudy day we often get during this month. It gets pretty windy too so I tried to make the clouds appear as though they were moving.

The cloudy effect was done by using saran wrap. I also dipped a brush in acetone to create a slight watercolor effect. Lastly, I added matte top coat to finish it.

So what do you think of my attempt at capturing nature? Thanks for looking!

  2. What a nice blog! I tried this type of manicure once, also with blue and white, but it didn't turn up so well. Good job:)
