Jordana Mint Candy

Mint green with green micro-shimmer. Yes, another one of those hidden shimmers that I love. This one is said to be a close dupe of Chanel Jade but I can’t afford that so I decided to go for this. The best part of this polish is that secret shimmer! It’s not just plain old silver, its green!

The formula is streaky and sheer. Even at three thick coats, there were still bald patches so another coat is needed. There was also some bubbling because of the thickness. Normally, I wouldn’t bother buying such a troublesome polish but this color is so beautiful. And did I mention the shimmer?

One thing to note: this never seemed to fully dry on me. Maybe it’s the number of coats or my base and top coats, but it was still getting dents after two days. I’ll definitely be trying this color again.

OPI DS Glow

Collection: Designer Series

Golden copper-bronze foil. I bought this one for my mum a few years ago for Mother’s Day (which also happens to be this coming Sunday). She loves warm colors like gold, orange and red but isn’t really into nail polish. Still, I thought this would be a pretty special color for her to have as she had nothing like it.

This foil is on the sheer side but sticking to thin coats made it easy to apply. Glow is a very appropriate name because it really glows in the sun! OPI chose a good name for once ;)

a england Lady of the Lake

Collection: The Mythicals (2011)

Dark purple scattered holographic. This is the first a-england that I’ve tried and it doesn’t disappoint. The rich purple base has a slightly muted tone that I love!

This little lady is opaque in two thin even coats. If only all polishes had formulas like this! It also wears pretty well on me, no chips during the week I had it on.

Cult Nails Haul

No comments:
It’s Labor Day today in many countries. So wherever you are, Happy Labor Day!

I also wanted to tell you guys that my order from Cult Nails came!! I ordered during the sale and most of the polishes I wanted were already sold out. So what did I get?

Don’t you love the packaging? They’re cute little burritos that are made from recycled materials. Plus, there are cottons balls for extra padding. Totally what a lacquer head needs! I’m already starting to love this brand and I haven’t even seen the polishes yet!

Seduction is the main reason for this order. I didn’t want to miss it like Clairvoyant as the supply for flakies are currently limited. However, I’m just as excited to test the other shades too! And Wicked Fast, which is a quick dry top coat.

Once again, Happy Labor Day!

OPI Ski Teal We Drop

Collection: Swiss (2010 Winter)

Dark teal blue cream. This was the one of the first dark creams I purchased. I love using this as a pedicure color as it’s still clearly teal all that distance away!

The formula was smooth and easy to work with. I’ve also finally figured out how to overcome the wide OPI brush! For ladies with small nails, try using the non-flat side of the brush. It’s narrower and absolutely perfect for painting my little and ring fingers.
